Very best of Friends...

A very good friend, yes the very best of friends, asked me to start this revelation of sorts. So here I go. Not sure where this will lead as writing is not my normal outlet. I prefer things much more physical or mental, but not textual. Not sure how often I can do this as I lead a very busy life, but will try to honor my hearts delight by adding prose along the way and even something more numinous depending on your point of view.

Ah perspective. It defines us and where we stand, but only in so much as to what our perspective allows us to see. Mine tends to be quite conservative, but politically I'm leaning further to the libertarian side these days. Just so sick of the glut that government has become and the morass of people that suckle at the bureaucratic teat, looking to the government for all their 'needs'. Overall I maintain a positive outlook as I wade through the negativity in this world, wrought mostly by people who want to blame all their woes on anyone else, anything else but self.

My intro would not be complete if I failed to mention my kids and my faith. Both have formed me into the person I am today. I love my kids without measure. Kids are such great teachers if we but listen and watch. They take complex situations and reduce them to their simplest form. I have the smartest most beautiful children, but some would say I'm biased. As for my faith, what is a man apart from his Maker. It's as much a part of me as my breath, my very life blood. So between faith, family and self my perspective is formed.

I'm starting this as requested by my friend, but I'm sure as time goes on the value to me will be laid bear. Always good to look back and see where you've come, just as long as you don't get stuck there.

Wishing everyone the Joy I've found in my faith, my family and my very best of friends...
